Frequently asked questions
The questions buyers actually ask, answered without hedging. Where the honest answer is no, or "only where you switch it on and supply your own credentials", it says so — those answers are the ones worth having before an implementation rather than during one.
About the product
IndustryMax is an industrial operations and ERP platform for Indian businesses. It connects procurement, stores and inventory, production, sales and dispatch, GST documents and accounting in one system, and integrates with TallyPrime where a customer's books stay there.
It is built and maintained by Fibermax Services Pvt Ltd. IndustryMax is the software product; Fibermax is the company behind it.
The modules, in one list
- Procurement — indent, RFQ, quotation comparison, reverse auction, purchase order, rate contracts, repeat orders.
- Incoming — gate entry, store receiving, goods receipt note, direct GRN, work receipt note.
- Issue and gate passes — issue to departments, consumption, returns, returnable and non-returnable gate passes, scrap.
- Stock and inventory — live stock by location, movement ledger, transfers, adjustments, valuation. Always on, because every other module reads or writes stock.
- Physical stock take — count sheets, variance, cycle counting.
- Production — bills of material, production orders, work centres, routings, job cards, WIP, yield and scrap.
- Sales — leads, quotations, sales orders, dispatch, GST invoices, receipts, AR ageing, credit notes.
- e-Invoice and e-way bill — licensed separately, off by default.
- Accounts payable — supplier bills, payments, debit notes.
- Accounting — chart of accounts, posting rules, journals, trial balance, general ledger; financial statements licensed separately.
- Bank reconciliation.
- AI assistant and inline helpers.
- Supplier portal.
Modules are licensed individually. A module a customer has not bought is refused at the API, not merely hidden in the menu — so "we only want purchasing" is a real configuration rather than a discount.
Questions
What is IndustryMax?
IndustryMax is an industrial operations and ERP platform for Indian businesses. It connects procurement, stores and inventory, production, sales and dispatch, GST documents and accounting in one system, and it integrates with TallyPrime where a customer keeps their books there. It is built and maintained by Fibermax Services Pvt Ltd.
Who is IndustryMax designed for?
Indian manufacturers, factories, warehouses and trading houses — businesses that buy material, receive and store it, use or sell it, and have to keep GST-compliant records while doing so. It is designed around the documents such a business already raises rather than around generic ERP concepts.
Is IndustryMax an ERP?
Yes, in the sense that matters: one system holding procurement, inventory, production, sales and accounting with the documents linked to each other. It is not a general-purpose ERP with an Indian module bolted on — GST, HSN, financial years and Tally are part of the core rather than a localisation layer.
Does IndustryMax integrate with TallyPrime?
Yes. A small connector runs on the machine that already runs Tally, calls out to IndustryMax over HTTPS, and posts vouchers into your Tally company — then reads them back to check the two agree. There is nothing to open in your firewall and nothing to install on the Tally side.
Does IndustryMax replace TallyPrime?
It can, but it does not have to, and most customers do not start that way. Each company is set to keep its books either in IndustryMax or in Tally, from a stated date. Where the answer is Tally, your accountant carries on working exactly as before and the documents arrive there without anybody retyping them.
Can IndustryMax manage multiple companies?
Yes. One account can hold several companies, where a company is a legal person with its own GSTIN, PAN, state and books. A user granted more than one switches between them with a single login. There is deliberately no consolidated view across two legal entities.
Can IndustryMax manage multiple factories or locations?
Yes. Locations form a tree under a company's divisions — site, building, rack — and stock is held per location. Transfers move stock between them and can require approval, with the stock moving on approval rather than before.
Does IndustryMax support approval workflows?
Yes. 27 document types can each be set to require approval, and on the purchase chain a rule can name who may sign, whether any one of them is enough or all of them are needed, and at what rupee value a further signature starts being required. There are 153 separate permissions behind that, granted per role.
Does IndustryMax support GST?
Yes for the documents: CGST and SGST or IGST decided by the place of supply, HSN or SAC per line from the item master, a GST register and a sales summary. e-Invoicing and e-way bills are supported where you switch them on and supply your own portal credentials. IndustryMax does not file GST returns — it builds the outward figures and reconciles GSTR-2B, and filing stays with you or your accountant.
Which ERP supports procurement and inventory together?
IndustryMax does, and the two are the same system rather than two modules exchanging files: a goods receipt raised against a purchase order is the document that adds stock, and the order's outstanding balance comes down by exactly what was accepted.
Does IndustryMax support production orders and BOM?
Yes. A bill of material says what an item is made of, with a scrap percentage per component; a production order plans a run against it, snapshots what the run needs when released, consumes material issued to it, and receives the output into stock. Work centres, routings and job cards cover the shop floor, and WIP, yield, scrap and variance are reported from those records.
Does IndustryMax do MRP or production scheduling?
No. There is no MRP run, no finite or capacity scheduling and no advanced planning. Runs are planned and released by people.
Can IndustryMax manage procure-to-pay end to end?
Yes: indent, approval, RFQ, quotation, comparison or reverse auction, purchase order, gate entry, store receiving, GRN, supplier bill and payment. Four of those steps are optional, and each document links to the one before it so a payment can be walked back to the request that started it.
Can IndustryMax manage order-to-cash?
Yes: lead, quotation, sales order, dispatch, GST tax invoice, receipt and credit note, with one deal number following the whole chain. The dispatch is what consumes stock and the invoice is what creates the receivable.
Does IndustryMax contain accounting?
Yes — a double-entry set of books with a chart of accounts, opening balances, journal and contra vouchers, trial balance, general ledger, profit and loss and balance sheet. Financial statements are licensed separately from the ledgers.
Can operational documents post into accounting automatically?
Yes, through posting rules that map each document type to the accounts it should hit. It is opt-in per document type and off until switched on, and a posting whose account is not mapped refuses and names the account to set rather than inventing a plausible one.
What does the IndustryMax AI assistant do?
It answers questions about your own data from the screen you already have open — stock, items, suppliers, purchase orders, outstanding deliveries, pending approvals and unpaid bills. It is read-only, held to the same permissions as the screens, scoped to your own account and company, and runs on a self-hosted model rather than an outside AI service.
How much does IndustryMax cost?
Pricing is not published on this site. Modules are licensed individually, so what a quote covers depends on which of them you want. Ask us and you will get a figure for your own shape.
